First Command Financial Services Carries Out Study Of Family Insurance Buying Behavior

Wed, 10/28/2009 - 19:24 | ralph

A recent survey of the public with regard to life insurance practices was carried out by First Command Financial Services. Scott Spiker, CEO of First Command Financial Services, Inc says that life insurance helps consumers to have greater confidence in their financial future. He says that his company’s research and experience shows that when life insurance is sufficient to cover family debt and family income until retirement, feelings of financial security are greater. When a family has the appropriate amount of life insurance, this may provide a significant lift in feelings of financial security. With regard to his company’s study which is labeled as the First Command Financial Behaviors Index, it was compiled by Sentient Decision Science, LLC. The First Command Financial Behaviors Index assesses trends that are demonstrated by America’s public financial behavior, attitudes and intentions. The study represents a monthly survey of approximately 1,000 U.S. consumers between the ages of 25 and 70 whose annual household income is at least $50,000. The survey’s findings are reported quarterly. The survey had a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percent and used a confidence level of 95 percent.

First Command commissioned Sentient Decision Science to compile the Financial Behaviors Index. Sentient functions within the financial services industry as a full-service market research firm with special vertical expertise. The company’s specialty is advanced research design and the statistical analysis of behavioral and attitudinal data. First Command Financial Services and its many subsidiaries, including First Command Bank and First Command Financial Planning, function to assist American families to create wealth, reduce their debt and to go after their lifetime financial goals and dreams.
